PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
The Project Delivery Manager (PDM) plays a critical role within ISAT Total Support’s Technical group by leading the coordination, execution, and delivery of complex, large-scale special projects. This position is responsible for managing project deliverables, aligning internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within scope. The PDM serves as a central point of contact while leveraging strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support utility and support installations, fabrication, engineering, off-site manufacturing (OSM), and other technical support functions nationwide.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related matters involving clients, fabricators, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with project managers, department leads, and senior leadership to coordinate teams, manage schedules, and meet project milestones.
- Collaborate with ISAT senior sales staff to support large project opportunities across the U.S.
- Communicate regularly with branch managers and senior management to align on scope, schedules, change orders, and risk mitigation.
- Review and understand contract terms and scopes of work to prevent scope creep and identify additional project opportunities.
- Track billable hours in relation to project progress and ensure accurate reporting.
- Assign tasks, review work packages, and perform quality control prior to submission.
- Conduct site visits to gather field information, inspect installations, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Represent ISAT professionally with General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Fabricators to drive collaboration and resolve challenges.
- Draft and revise professional responses to SEOR/DSE comments and ensure documentation meets project requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to generate accurate Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Ensure quality assurance for all deliverables to meet required ROS dates.
- Identify opportunities to implement ISAT-designed hardware and engineered solutions based on testing, design, and application requirements.
- Maintain working knowledge of construction, fabrication, logistics, and OSM principles.
- Interpret P&IDs, IFC drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure constructible and code-compliant detailing.
- Apply knowledge of building codes and industry standards, including IBC, UFC, CBC, MSS, SMACNA, NEMA, NFPA, and AISC Steel Detailing Standards.
- Utilize Nexus Notes and Smartsheets to document project correspondence and log 100% of completed work daily.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project folders in accordance with ISAT naming conventions.
- Create and catalog new support system applications and provide feedback to VDC, fabrication, and engineering teams to improve processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven experience managing complex construction, engineering, fabrication, or utility support projects.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, fabrication processes, and off-site manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and industry standards (IBC, UFC, CBC, MSS, SMACNA, NEMA, NFPA, AISC).
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and working with external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with project documentation tools and systems (e.g., Nexus, Smartsheets, or similar platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel for site visits and project support as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to travel to construction sites and perform site walks in active construction environments.
- Ability to lift and carry light materials and equipment as needed.
- Ability to work in office, fabrication, and field environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions during site visits.
