Recovery Housing Technician
- This role involves supervising residents in a male-only residential recovery setting.
- Responsibilities include monitoring shared living spaces such as sleeping quarters, bathrooms, and dressing areas.
- Must be able to maintain resident privacy and dignity in a same-sex environment.
- Experience working with men in recovery strongly preferred.
- Ability to build rapport with adult male residents.
- Comfort working in a male-only residential setting.
Job Purpose: Oversee sober living homes, ensuring guests have the support and resources necessary to succeed in attaining long-term sobriety. Manage each sober living home to ensure it is well maintained and adheres to all compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assist new guests in acclimating to sober living
Conduct curfew checks
Send daily reports to manager on events, incident reports, and guest wellbeing
Stocking of PHP homes with supplies
Oversee sober living homes, including assisting guests with attaining needed resources and skills to establish healthy routines for lifelong recovery
Lead house meetings and 12-step groups within sober living homes, as-needed
Enforce Freeman Recovery Center policies and procedures and report to the manager immediately with any issues in sober living
Monitor sober living guest behavior and approve individual privileges, such as day passes and visitors
Drug screenings of sober living patients as needed for drug/alcohol use
Provide transportation to and from approved sites (PHP/IOP, AA/NA meetings, grocery)
Ensuring patients get to their destinations safely and on time
Safety checks on vehicle(s) as needed
Always operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner
Never operate a motor vehicle while operating any cellular device
Assist with rent collection for sober living guests, as needed
Uphold HIPAA, 42CFR Part 2 in regard to patient/guest confidentiality at all times
Education and Experience required/degree, and/or certification required (if applicable):
Knowledge in Mental and Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Field.
Excellent skills in listening and verbal communication.
Knowledge in the programs and resources within the facility.
Excellent skills in time management.
GED or high school diploma preferred
Certified Peer Recovery Specialist designation preferred
May be required to be CPR certified and/or maintain CPR certification.
