Spark Innovation fosters creative problem-solving, social entrepreneurship, and civic leadership skills for young people. This Enrichment Program introduces students to the exciting world of invention and design thinking through engagement with real-world challenges.
We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic educators to join our team. As an Enrichment Program Teacher, you will lead engaging and hands-on lessons from our curriculum that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and a sense of social responsibility. Paired with another teacher, you will co-teach roughly one hour lessons in a rotation model.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Spark curriculum delivering interactive lessons that introduce design thinking and social entrepreneurship concepts to elementary and middle school students.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to work together to solve real-world challenges.
- Use age-appropriate teaching methods and resources to make complex concepts accessible and engaging for young learners.
- Encourage students to identify and explore their own passions and interests, guiding them towards projects that address real social and environmental challenges.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students develop their ideas and projects.
- Organize and oversee project showcases or presentations to celebrate student creativity, achievements, and leadership development.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and program coordinators to continuously improve the curriculum and teaching materials.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous teaching, tutoring, or leadership experience working with young students.
- Passion for education, creativity, leadership development, and social entrepreneurship.
- Excitement for collaboration and personal growth.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Commitment to welcoming all learners and creating a collaborative, student-centered, and fun classroom environment.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in working with elementary school students.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet other school-specific requirements.
- California teaching credential preferred but not required.
- At least three years of teaching experience preferred but not required.

The pay range for this role is:
20 - 38 USD per hour(CA)
