Omaha - Delivery Specialist at Rapid Medical – Omaha, Nebraska

Rapid Medical, a trustedleader in healthcare logistics, is seeking dependable independent contractors to provide essential courier services.

This opportunity involves the pickup and delivery of medical specimens and supplies along designated routes, averaging 9 hours per dayand approximately 550 miles. Competitive flat-rate pay and flexible engagement terms make this an ideal opportunity for individuals with experience on gig economy platforms such as Lyft, Uber, and DoorDash.

Bonus Opportunity: Contractors who can verify a gig-platform driver rating of 4.8 or higher (e.g., Uber, Lyft, DoorDash) may qualify for a one-time $600 engagement incentive,payable after 30 consecutive days of contracted services and subject to verification in accordance with current policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver medical specimens, supplies, and/or reports along designated routes
• Ensure integrity of specimensduring transport
• Use our smartphone app to manage and logpickups and deliveries
• Maintain timely communication with dispatch team regarding route status
• Check clinic lockboxes and document all pickups
• Provide professional, courteousservice to healthcare facilities

Minimum Requirements:

• Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle suitable for long-distance delivery(recommended:2015 or newer)
• Valid drivers license, registration, and auto insurance meeting statutory minimums
• Acceptabledriving record
• Contractors must provide consent for a background check in accordance with applicable laws - engagement is contingent upon satisfactory verification
• Smartphone (Apple or Android) with active data plan for app use
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and handle extensive driving periods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior engagement as a medical courier or gig economy driver (e.g., package delivery, Amazon, FedEx, USPS, Uber, Lyft, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Compensation:Independent contractors engaged with Rapid Medicalare paid a flat daily contract rate tied toroute length and service time. Performance-based incentives may also be available.While contractors may achieve earnings comparable to $18 to $24 per hour (net of fuel costs), compensation is not structured as wages.
