Specialty Cook at LSG Sky Chefs – Dulles, Virginia

Responsibilities include preparing and cooking raw food items for airlines in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with company, FDA, and airline standards and regulations. This role is part of a travel-based culinary operations team, requiring employees to travel as needed to support various airline kitchens and production facilities. Candidates must be adaptable, able to work in different kitchen environments, and comfortable following standardized recipes and procedures across multiple locations.

A minimum of two (2) years of experience cooking in a commercial, highvolume production kitchen is required (additional experience may be necessary depending on specific cooking responsibilities and assigned airlines). This position requires strong attention to detail, consistent food quality, and adherence to safety and sanitation protocols.

Revised Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial, highvolume production kitchen.
• Ability and willingness to travel for work to support multiple airline kitchen operations.
• Experience working in largescale or high-volume food production environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, temperature control, and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with FDA and HACCP standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a busy kitchen environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Ability to read and write English fluently and follow detailed recipes and production guidelines.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and reliability.
