IT Technician I

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced IT Technician I.

This role requires travel within the Southern/Richmond area, with occasional travel to northern regions as needed.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position purpose
Provide technical support to practice offices, CBO, and physicians.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.

Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.

Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and system groups.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular fields.

Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Ability to multi-task.

Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.

A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.

Must be able to travel to our offices within and outside of DFW Metroplex.

Education: An Associates Degree or equivalent and 1-4 years of experience in the IT or related field preferred
Experience: 1-4 years of IT, or related field, preferred experience
Additional Qualifications:

Preferred certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.

Requirements for Level I Status:

Entry level (1-4 years experience) and/or meet the basic requirements of the job with the need for additional supervision.

Excess of 4 years experience if meeting only the basic requirements of the job with need for additional supervision.

Performance Requirements:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient technical (computer) skills.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Self-motivated with initiative.

Strong sense of ethics.

Ability to travel to office locations.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds including carrying this amount of weight up flights of stairs.
