About This Position
The Personal Banker II (PB) is responsible for building customer advocacy through trusted financial guidance by opening and servicing consumer deposit and loan activities, business deposits; assisting as an extension and support for business, and ag deposit and Cash Management services; referring or partnering with other location team members, departments and community organizations to strengthen or uncover new relationships opportunities. Meeting regulatory requirements and loss management (mitigating losses) and embracing and advocate processes, procedures, systems.
Responsibilities
Consumer Banking
- Consumer loan and deposit products
- Business/Ag deposit products
- Cash Management services
- Client Services- transactions, etc.
- Prompt response to customer concerns- escalate issues as needed
- Proactive conversation and informed questions asking to uncover financial needs
- Accurate opening and maintenance of accounts
- Act as a liaison with sales teams to by providing expert service support of commercial and ag customers
- Recognize opportunities to refer clients for additional Choice Bank, Wealth, Benefit, and Insurance services.
- Act as a point of escalation for the Client Services team members
- Manage location reports- goals
- Expertise in products & services
- Gather required information and documents for products and services
Systems
- Ensuring customer data is up to date and accurate in applicable systems.
- Manage and monitor ongoing reports.
- Research, develop and implement efficient processes, procedures and workflows.
- Open new accounts, submit applications
- Cash Management- Onboard new customers, maintenance existing customers,
Regulatory Requirements
- Applying expert knowledge policies and procedures to minimize risk, including S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations to assist in taking applications for dwelling secured transactions.
- Stay up to date on applicable regulatory and compliance requirements that impact the products & services offered (I.e. HMDA, Patriot Act, Reg CC, OFAC, Verafin, etc.)
- Source of knowledge on consumer regulations for Client Services team members.
- Complete all internal and external training in a timely manner.
Relationships
- Supporting and providing Premier Experience, Service Recoveries and Rise Ups.
- Build and manage relationships with external and internal customers.
- Overall Organization Engagement, including but not limited to Coaching, Team Engagement, Volunteering, and Living our #PeopleFirst Culture.
Qualifications
- 2 to 6 years of related sales experience
- 4 to 8 years of banking experience
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
