About This Position

About Jetson:

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use. We believe in a future that is 100% electric and 100% better.

Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, yet adoption of solutions like heat pumps remains slow due to cost and complexity. Jetson is solving this by building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company — making clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable.

We rely heavily on technology, automation, and data to scale this impact. At Jetson, we value people who are excellent at their craft, curious about new tools (including AI), and motivated to continuously improve how work gets done.

The Opportunity:

This is a hands-on operations role with a builder's edge. You'll own Jetson's rebate submission and collections process — tracking submissions, resolving issues, and making sure customers and the business get paid. But this isn't just a process management job. A major part of your charter is to deeply understand how the rebate workflow operates, document it rigorously, identify where it breaks down, and then actively implement agentic and automated solutions to fix it.

You'll work at the intersection of operations, process design, and AI-assisted automation — defining requirements, building lightweight workflows, and partnering with engineering when the solution needs to go deeper. If you love owning something messy, making it clean, and then using smart tooling to make it run itself, this role was built for you.

What You Will Do:

Rebate Operations (day-to-day)

  • Own the end-to-end rebate submission and collection pipeline across utility, state, and federal programs
  • Submit rebate applications accurately and on time, coordinating documentation from installers, customers, and internal systems
  • Track submission status across programs and utilities; follow up proactively to clear blockers
  • Maintain clean records of expected vs. received rebate amounts; escalate and resolve discrepancies
  • Serve as the operational point of contact with program administrators and utilities on submission issues

Process Design & Requirements

  • Map the current-state rebate workflow in detail — every step, every handoff, every failure point
  • Define clear requirements for how the process should run, including what data is needed, when, and from whom
  • Identify high-leverage opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and speed up collection timelines
  • Write clear specs and requirements documents that can hand off to engineering when needed

Automation & Agentic Tooling

  • Implement automation directly using no-code/low-code tools and AI agents (e.g., Claude, Make, n8n, Zapier, Airtable)
  • Build and maintain automated workflows for rebate status tracking, document routing, submission reminders, and collection monitoring
  • Manage and monitor the effectiveness of the prompt instructions
  • Evaluate and pilot new agentic tools that could further streamline the rebate lifecycle
  • Partner with engineering and product on deeper integrations when the solution exceeds what can be built without code

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain a clear view of the rebate pipeline: what's been submitted, what's pending, what's been collected, and what's at risk
  • Surface trends in denials, delays, and processing times to inform program prioritization
  • Continuously refine the process as Jetson expands into new markets and programs

What You Bring:

  • 3–5 years of experience in operations, revenue operations, process improvement, or a related field
  • A track record of taking a messy operational process and making it work — and then making it scale
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (no-code/low-code: Make, n8n, Zapier, Airtable, or similar)
  • Experience working with or strong curiosity about AI tools and agentic systems for workflow automation
  • Strong documentation instincts — you can map a process, write a requirements doc, and communicate clearly to both operators and builders
  • Analytical chops: comfortable with spreadsheets, tracking pipelines, and digging into where things go wrong
  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing competing priorities without much hand-holding

Nice to Have

  • Experience with utility rebate programs, HVAC contractor workflows, or home improvement operations
  • Familiarity with Claude, GPT, or similar AI tools in a workflow context
  • Experience writing lightweight scripts or working with APIs (not required, but a plus)
  • Background in a field service, warranty, or claims operations environment
