Job Summary
Alpine Communication, LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Designer (AutoCAD) to support multiple members of our leadership team through high-quality design and drafting services. The Lead Designer will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and managing detailed AutoCAD drawings, coordinating design documentation, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and industry standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to always handle sensitive and confidential project information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and update drawings using AutoCAD for gas telecom infrastructure projects.
- Produces engineering drawings from survey data, Plats, Deeds, etc., using AutoCAD software.
- Prepares plan view, cross section and profile drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Researches information of existing utilities and properties right of ways and tax parcels.
- Identifies conflicts between existing city utilities and proposed Fiber route; prepares relocation information for FDOT and county projects.
- Work with engineers and project managers to develop accurate, efficient, and compliant designs.
- Interpret sketches, field data, and technical information to produce detailed drawings and plans.
- Maintain drawing consistency and ensure adherence to company drafting standards.
- Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submittal.
- Revise and update existing drawings based on redlines, design changes, or field feedback.
- Manage and organize CAD files to maintain version control and document integrity.
- Coordinate with permitting and field teams to ensure designs align with regulatory and site requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of AutoCAD experience specifically in utilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with permitting drawings, utility standards.
