About the Role:
The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for world-class sourcing, screening and recommending candidates for TEL positions as well as onboarding new hires. This includes leading efforts on TEL’s branding strategy to attract top talent. This Talent Acquisition Partner will understand, model and represent the TEL employment value proposition. The Talent Acquisition Partner will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with the managers, identify potential “fit” through effective interviewing, assessments, administering the onboarding process, and ensure a positive new hire experience. Developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies are primary responsibilities to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent. The Talent Acquisition Partner will provide the right candidate for the right job at the right time. All activities must be in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, FLSA, and other state and federal regulations, as appropriate.
What You’ll Do:
- Consult with leaders, hiring managers and human resources team on position descriptions, requisition and intake creation, Predictive Index, compensation, and sourcing strategies.
- Manage the job description development prior to job postings and ensure they are updated periodically as roles change.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Predictive Index. Ensure full understanding and ability to utilize the PI system and facilitate new hire and existing employee (the latter as appropriate) testing. Review test results with the hiring manager and ensure insight from tests is incorporated into the interview and hiring decision process. Manage Predictive Index job target creation per position, facilitate candidate readback.
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build database/pipeline of candidates and the TEL company brand.
- Recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume & phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend final selection of applicants and close qualified candidates.
- Ensure world class candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Arrange pre-employment testing, background & references screenings as applicable. Evaluation and input of our current vendors.
- Place and update all job postings in various Medias including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards and staffing partners.
- Lead employer brand marketing initiatives to build TEL’s employee value proposition as an employer of choice.
- Represent the company at recruiting events (i.e., college job fairs), providing company/job information and interviewing applicants.
- Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
- Communicate with managers and employees regularly to promote TEL referral program and internal opportunities.
- Create offer letters, maintain applicant tracking system, recruiting reports and other staffing administration functions as needed.
- Conduct new employee onboarding, ensuring process is engaging and that processes are followed and accurate.
- Respond timely to internal and external applicant situations, and applicant requests as required.
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
- Facilitate talent acquisition training initiatives (i.e. – best practice interview training for hiring managers, etc.)
- Complete stay interviews, exit interviews, and analysis and make recommendations to head of HR for areas of improvement in business practices.
- Build, create, maintain, and report on key analytics related to employee life cycle.
- Coordination of TEL company events as assigned.
- Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance effectiveness of providing world class service and support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field or a combination of education and years of experience required.
- 10 years of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and interviewing experience
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or TA Certification preferred
- Act with integrity, respect, loyalty, innovation, and support in line with TEL core values
- Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures and a solid working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various recruiting techniques, and experience in online/social media recruiting.
- Proven ability to communicate and effectively “sell” an organization’s value proposition.
- Must possess excellent oral/written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and Applicant Tracking Systems. Experience with Paycor is a plus.
- Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.
- Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
- Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
