Automotive & Fleet Mechanic at Prudential Overall Supply – Riverside, California

Prudential Overall Supply is looking for a talented individual that is well diversified in all aspects of fleet/ automotive mechanics. This individual will ensure timely, accurate service and repair to the fleet. Repair all “downed” equipment to ensure it is quickly brought back into service within company guidelines.

Experience:

• Experience working with D.O.T. requirements.
• 3 years or more of shop experience, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of commercial fleet vehicles.
• 3 or more years of working as a Fleet / Automotive, Truck-Trailer mechanic
• Experience in Electrical, hydraulic and diesel engine preferred.
• Possess appropriate tools for position as a heavy-duty truck mechanic.
• Military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
• Excellent written and verbal English communication abilities: Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Perform Preventative Maintenance repairs
• Communicate with management to help provide appropriate information regarding all work performed
• Help maintain the shop standards of quality, cleanliness, and ensure that the shop meets all OSHA standards. Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure that all vehicles not only meet POS standards but are also consistent with State and DOT standards.
• Work to develop quality in the shop, conduct himself/herself professionally in the shop. Ensure that the POS standards are maintained.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonable within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
• Must be willing to travel on overnight trips.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate's degree in automotive technology or equivalent working experience not required but preferred
