The Director of Lymphedema Therapy is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
The Director of Lymphedema Therapy is responsible for the leadership, management and strategic development of the outpatient lymphedema program across all applicable satellite locations. This role ensures alignment integration with the Cancer Rehabilitation program-, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care.
In collaboration with clinical staff and Medical Director, the Director develops, implements and maintains program philosophy, goals and objectives, consistent with the mission and strategic priorities of NRHN. The Director is accountable for program growth through targeted marketing and referral development, while maintaining clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
This position combines leadership and Clinical responsibilities. The Director is expected to provide direct patient based on clinic volume, by and operational needs, as determined by Outpatient Leadership, and to foster collaboration across all network’s locations.
Qualifications
- Meets the qualifications of a PT or OT
- Licensed in state of facility site of hire (either NH or MA) and eligible for licensure in alternate state (and license obtained within 120 days of hire).
- Trained and certified biennially in BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR.
- Demonstrates leadership and team development skills
- Strong interpersonal communication. Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the physical rehabilitation field, including lymphedema treatment.
- Demonstrates professionalism and ethical standards complimentary to quality healthcare delivery
- Must be in good mental and physical health.
- Must promote positive image and professional dress.
- Must possess the ability to manage the interest of the Lymphedema Program and facilities with the interest of the hospital.
- Participate in health associations and education programs indicative of professional growth.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Occasional lifting/carrying 20 lbs.
- Frequent Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, handling, talking and hearing.
