Millwork Assembly Team Lead at Versatile US – Nunica, Michigan

Nunica, MI | Full-Time | Day Shift

Versatile Wood Solutions is a Commercial Millwork and Contract Furniture manufacturer with 40+ years of experience built on quality, integrity, and on-time delivery. We’re looking for a driven Assembly Team Lead to run day-to-day assembly operations and lead a team to hit production goals.

This role is leadership-focused. Success depends on organization, delegation, scheduling, and the ability to drive change— along with some custom woodworking skills.

• Lead and manage a team of 6–12 assembly employees

• Plan daily and weekly production schedules to meet deadlines

• Delegate work effectively and hold the team accountable

• Drive productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement

• Identify problems and implement process improvements

• Set and maintain clear assembly standards and expectations

• Monitor quality and complete department audits

• Coordinate schedules and priorities with other shop leads

• Track labor and production progress in Global Shop (ERP)

• Proven leadership or lead experience in manufacturing or assembly

• Strong organizational and scheduling skills

• Ability to make decisions, lead change, and follow through

• Comfortable coaching, correcting, and motivating employees

• Clear communicator and team-oriented leader

• Assembly or millwork experience is helpful but not required

• 4×10 schedule (10-hour shifts)

• 40–50 hours per week
