Packer at Acutec Precision Aerospace Inc – Meadville, Pennsylvania

Performs a variety of duties which will include reviewing and creating packing instructions, both written and visual, pulling packing materials, and packing parts in accordance with customer specification. Work independently or with minimal direction from Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work from and follow travelers, shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, customer orders, designated lists, packing slips, written/visual instruction, and verbal instructions to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
• Oversee/perform outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Provide visual inspection and accurate counts on product packed.
• Coordinate with customer service regarding updates, cancellations, and changes.
• Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Requires the use of acquired knowledge, high school diploma or GED.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively with all internal customers in both written and oral form.
• Ability to perform the duties of the job applying basic mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers.
• Basic computer skills.
