About This Position

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure Safety Guidelines are followed by all employees while at the facility.
  • Responsible for reporting all incidents you are involved in or witness to Safety Director as per company training and incident reporting protocols.
  • Drive Commercial vehicles as directed including daily pre-trip inspections of assigned truck and log keeping, as required.
  • Responsible for PPE inventory supplies at the warehouse and issuing PPE to employees/crews, as needed.
  • Ensures that each foreman and team members complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of commercial vehicles used daily and retain proper documentation per SOP.
  • Implement the work order/preventative maintenance tracking system to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all employees complete the daily vehicle use checklist prior to leaving and when the vehicle returns to the shop, review checklist for items that may need attention, proceed per the SOP.
  • Maintains and issues purchase order, for approval, to maintain min/max levels established by management.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all inventoried items and monthly inventory counts.
  • Ensure the guidelines of the Warehouse Organization 5S program are followed.
  • Prep standard required materials needed for crews and equipment in advance.
  • Attend start up meetings to ensure the crews have all necessary materials and to be made aware of any items the facility coordinator needs to address for the team.
  • Responsible for maintenance of equipment and vehicles per company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all employees working at the facility are following the proper procedures and SOP’s.
  • Document violations and notify appropriate supervisor and HR per SOP.
  • Be familiar with Company Handbook, Fleet Policy and Safety Policy and oversee adherence of all company policies and procedures as it pertains to the facility.
  • Assist in gathering necessary information to report to all claims to Gulf Management Claims Processor and HSS&E Director as requested, per guidelines as well as assist claims with repair estimates, etc.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement new processes and procedures, as requested.
  • Ensure facility is kept clean, repaired, and well maintained in accordance with all Health Safety Security and Environmental requirements within all Company, Municipal, State and Federal guidelines, including but not limited to OSHA, Fire Marshall, and Gulf Management Safety Director.
  • Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and documenting all facility (building and yard) repairs and maintenance per SOP.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles and construction/striping equipment (trucks, trailers, skid steers, striping trucks, compressors, generators, grinders, blowers, etc.)
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure fleet compliance with applicable regulations
  • Track maintenance schedules, service intervals, and repair history for all fleet assets in Whip Around system
  • Coordinate/perform emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime and keep projects on schedule
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs of company facilities.
  • Support facility upgrades and yard improvements as needed
  • For work unable to be performed in house, obtain quotes, schedule service, and monitor vendor work for quality and cost control.
  • Manage service contracts, warranties, and parts procurement.
  • Available to work a variety of shifts as needed to support the team, including but not limited to days, nights, and weekends.
  • Any other duties assigned as needed
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills
  • Good communications skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and procedures
  • The ability to apply knowledge and skills to achieve intended results
  • Ability to manage time between 2 or more projects
  • Possess the ability to read tape measures and plan documents
  • Must hold current First Aid, CPE, AED, and Flagger certification
  • Must hold current Forklift certification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must meet the Fleet Policy driver eligibility requirements and have a satisfactory motor vehicle report.
  • Satisfactory background check
  • Available for on/call needs as requested
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid CDL driver’s license
  • ASE Mechanic Certification
  • Diesel Mechanic Certification
