About the Role
Infrastructure Engineering Inc. (IEI) is looking to Hire a Human Resources Coordinator - Recruitment. We are a leading engineering firm known for quality and responsiveness and a proven track record of success as a Prime civil engineering firm. The Human Resources Coordinator - Recruitment will assist with various aspects of HR and Recruiting tasks including Onboarding, Scheduling Interviews, Screening Resume and Database Management of Employee Files. This is a position which requires the Human Resources Coordinator to work in the office a minimum of three (3) or more days per week as requested. In this role as the Human Resources Coordinator - Recruitment, you will assist with onboarding new hires and help conduct onboard sessions including processing new hire paperwork (i.e. I-9 Forms, Offer Letters, Benefits, Direct Deposits, etc.).
In addition, the HR Coordinator will assist the Talent Acquisition Specialist with recruitment efforts including job postings, sourcing of candidates/resumes, conducting HR Screenings, and scheduling Interviews. Essential Duties/Functions and Responsibilities:
- Support HR team in maintaining employee records and documentation; including maintaining and updating employee records in HRIS (Human Resources Information System)
- Must be an excellent collaborator and have the ability to provide helpful and efficient service to employees and applicants
- Will assist with onboarding new hires and help conduct onboard sessions including processing new hire paperwork (i.e. I-9 Forms, Offer Letters, Benefits, Direct Deposits, etc.)
- Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, sourcing of candidates/resumes, conducting HR Screenings, and scheduling Interviews
- Help coordinate and/or manage career fairs, conferences, trade shows, events and/or other HR related meetings
- May assist with researching as well as preparing reports and/or presentations
- Answering employee questions and/or requests regarding Human Resources; and aid in benefits administration tasks and assist employees with HR-related inquiries
- Participate in HR projects such as training initiatives and employee engagement programs
- Contribute to HR compliance activities and assist with policy updates
- Assist with conducting Audits to measure success of HR programs and then recommending change.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and able to pivot as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Behavioral Science or related field from an accredited institution is desired; and 4-5 years related experience required
- Will consider a High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years or related experience
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Basic understanding of human resources management principles and practices a plus
- Knowledge of HR functions like succession planning, change management, FMLA, and workforce management is desired
- General understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices desired
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
- Familiarity with HR software systems such as Paycor, VantagePoint Deltek or similar CRM/ERP system desired; as well as familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiting, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, CareerBuilder and/or other Job Board platforms is strongly desired
- Must have effective interpersonal skills, maintain a professional demeanor and ability to work with diverse staff across multiple departments; and successfully communicate with all levels of employees
- Must be an effective verbal and written communicator, able to communicate in grammatically correct sentences to convey information with detail and accuracy while effectively utilizing active listening skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, especially Outlook and Teams) and other software and/or platforms (CRM, ERP or SharePoint); and the ability to create and work with spreadsheets and process technical information

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job within an office environment. Employees may use headphones or similar devices to support concentration, manage ambient noise, and conduct virtual meetings or Teams calls effectively.
Working Conditions
- Usually work in a professional office setting 3-4 days per week in a cubicle and/or open office space or a closed office space
- Usually work a standard 40-hour work week
- Sometimes required to work extra hours, including weekends to complete special projects, to attend IEI related events and meetings and keep up with unexpected situations impacting the wellbeing of the Firm and/or operations of the Human Resources Department
- May travel to locally for meetings, conferences, training, etc. as well as to other IEI Markets as requested

The employee may lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
