Senior Accountant at Terminal Investment Corporation (TICO) – Ridgeland, South Carolina

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing plant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, financial analysis and reporting. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the plant controller in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the manufacturing team.

· Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.

· Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis to address specific business needs and inquiries.

· Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the manufacturing plant.

· Review Purchase requisitions involving departmental and capital project charges.

· Complete monthly reconciliations and propose improvements as needed

· Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

· Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.

· Assist in developing financial strategies and initiatives to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

· Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.

· May be required to perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

· Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Strong Knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
