Safety Director of Hyperbarics
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Director to oversee safety protocols and compliance within our hyperbaric treatment facility. This leadership role is vital in ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures specific to hyperbaric operations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and other relevant agencies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and education to staff, patients, and visitors to promote a culture of safety.
- Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with medical and technical staff to ensure safety standards are integrated into daily operations.
- Maintain documentation related to safety protocols, inspections, and incident reports.
- Stay current with advancements in hyperbaric safety standards and industry best practices.

Hours:
- Monday - Friday (no weekends)
- 4 hours per day

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- A minimum of 1 year experience in clinical hyperbaric chamber operations
- Certification by the NBDHMT within 1 year
- Completion of a 40 credit hour introductory hyperbaric medicine and hyperbaric safety course required
- Proven experience in safety management within a healthcare or hyperbaric environment
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices related to hyperbaric medicine
- Excellent communication and training skills to effectively educate staff and patients
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to conduct thorough safety audits and risk assessments
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
