Director of Plant Operations at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital – Banning, California

POSITION SUMMARY:

In conjunction with Administration, develops and administers programs to construct/maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment in accordance with regulations; maintains the buildings in safe and functional conditions relative to heat, light, power, air conditioning, and other broad environmental factors. Directs the repair, reconstruction, and construction of the hospital's physical plant and its contents; administers a preventive maintenance program to facilitate uninterrupted service to patients and to assure safe conditions for staff members, patients and visitors. Ensures the facility is in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Highly prefer Engineering degree.

License: Hold stationary steam boiler license and/or EPA Cert. Universal preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in plant operations for an acute care hospital facility, with at least 3 of those years in a management capacity or related experience.
• Experience working with contractors and construction projects in a hospital environment required.
• Experience with Joint Commission, CIHQ, CDPH, CMS and all other regulatory agencies Surveys affecting this Facility.
• Experience with High level Plants.
• Working Knowledge of the Environment of Care
• Working Knowledge of NFPA 2012 Edition and Life Safety Code 2012 Edition
