Shop Supervisor – Swing Shift
AGC Heat Transfer | Fairview, ORMonday–Thursday | 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Compensation: $38/hr + 10% shift differential once on second shift ($41.80)

As the second-shift operational leader, you’ll provide direction, support, and accountability across multiple departments including Logistics, Welding, Machine Shop, Plate Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Frame Assembly.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise, coach, and support swing-shift employees across departments
- Set priorities, delegate work, and ensure shift goals are met
- Promote cross-training and skill development
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Oversee daily production to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence
- Coordinate workflow between departments to minimize downtime
- Jump in when needed—troubleshooting equipment, assisting operators, and removing bottlenecks
- Ensure proper staffing, materials, and resources are available
Safety, Quality & Improvement
Enforce safety policies and promote a safety-first mindset
- Conduct safety walk-throughs and support incident investigations
- Ensure products meet quality and customer standards
- Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve issues
- Identify and lead process improvements on second shift
- Serve as the main point of contact for second-shift operations
- Lead shift start-up meetings and share end-of-shift reports
- Communicate priorities, updates, and issues between shifts and leadership
Required
- 3–5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience (Supervisor or Lead)
- Experience in fabrication, machining, or industrial manufacturing environments
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide hands-on leadership on the shop floor
- Ability to work the full swing shift schedule (Mon–Thu, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM)
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Experience with welding (TIG/MIG), CNC machining, metal fabrication, or mechanical assembly
- Background in plate heat exchangers or precision manufacturing
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Industrial manufacturing environment with welding, machining, forklifts, and cranes
- Required use of PPE (safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, etc.)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and hands-on equipment interaction
