Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager (Advanced Manufacturing) in United States.
This role is focused on driving new employer partnerships within the Advanced Manufacturing sector to support scalable, mission-driven workforce development initiatives. You will operate as a highly entrepreneurial business development leader, leveraging deep industry relationships to identify and secure new hiring partners. The position requires strong domain expertise in manufacturing environments, including industrial operations and Industry 4.0 ecosystems. You will be responsible for opening new doors, building qualified pipeline, and translating employer workforce needs into impactful talent solutions. Working independently with a high degree of ownership, you will act as a key connector between employers and emerging talent pipelines. This is a fast-paced, field-building role where your efforts directly expand access to meaningful employment opportunities and strengthen workforce ecosystems.
- Drive market penetration by identifying, engaging, and qualifying employer partners in the Advanced Manufacturing sector with entry-level hiring needs.
- Activate and leverage existing professional networks to generate warm leads and accelerate new partnership development.
- Conduct discovery conversations with hiring leaders to understand workforce needs, timelines, and organizational fit for talent solutions.
- Manage and maintain pipeline activity, ensuring accurate documentation of all employer interactions and progression in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align employer needs with available talent pipelines and program timelines.
- Deliver structured reporting and insights (30/60/90-day updates) on outreach progress, pipeline development, and conversion opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transition of employer relationships into long-term partnerships.
- 5+ years of business development, sales, or partnership experience within Advanced Manufacturing or closely related industrial sectors.
- Proven ability to build new business pipelines and secure net-new employer relationships rather than managing existing accounts.
- Strong existing professional network within manufacturing, industrial operations, or Industry 4.0 environments.
- Excellent consultative selling and discovery skills, with the ability to translate employer needs into partnership opportunities.
- Comfortable operating independently in a self-directed, entrepreneurial environment with minimal oversight.
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) for pipeline tracking, reporting, and relationship management.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Contract-based engagement with defined performance deliverables and potential for extension based on results.
- Competitive hourly compensation ranging from $35 to $45 per hour, depending on experience and domain expertise.
- Remote work flexibility with regionally assigned focus areas.
- Opportunity to contribute to mission-driven workforce development and economic mobility initiatives.
- Exposure to national employer networks and high-impact industry partnerships.
- Performance-based continuation opportunities across multiple domains and regions.
