Schoolwide Support Teacher (Floating Teacher / Teacher Assistant) – Early Childhood Education

We’re hiring a compassionate and flexible Schoolwide Support Teacher to join our team in Mansfield, MA. In this role, you’ll support infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, stepping in where needed to provide high-quality childcare and consistency for both children and teachers.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:- EEC Preschool Teacher Certification or CDA required, dual Teacher Certification (Infant/Toddler and Preschool) preferred
- A minimum of one year experience in a daycare, preschool, center-based or private school setting
- An engaging and energetic demeanor and a love for helping young children meet and exceed their developmental goals
- Availability to work Monday through Friday until 5:00 pm required
- Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
- Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset
- Providing substitute coverage when Teachers are either out sick, completing planning time, in need of a bathroom break, lunch break, or any other coverage throughout the day.
- Assisting Classroom Teachers with the routine opening/closing of the classroom, including but not limited to wiping down the toys, cleaning the tables, vacuuming the room, sanitizing the room (after all children have left), and overall preparation of the classroom for the next morning.
- Providing classroom assistance to support teachers as needed throughout the day, including but not limited to preparing materials for classroom lesson plans, engaging with students in free play, assisting with daily projects, supervising/zoning during outdoor time, helping with bathroom needs and diapering, snack and lunch time assistance (heating up lunches, cutting up food, helping open containers, supervision), naptime assistance, etc.
- Adhering to the daily classroom schedule while assisting teachers.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the school throughout the day including, but not limited to, cleaning staff kitchen areas, lobbies, staff and classroom bathrooms, using the zono-machine (if applicable to your school), emptying trash and disposing in dumpster, assist with laundry and organizing/putting away nap mats.
- Encouraging children's participation by providing age-appropriate interactive activities.
- Maintaining EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
