About This Position

Description:

The Outside Sales position –is responsible for developing and growing sales within Automotive dealerships, Auto Groups, Medium and Heavy-Duty Dealerships networks and related distribution channels. This role drives revenue by building strong relationships with dealer groups, parts and service departments while promoting and expanding the market presence of Milton, Steck Manufacturing, LTI Tools, ZeeLine and ProMAXX Tool products.

The Outside Salesperson will focus on increasing product adoption, identifying new business opportunities, and executing strategic sales initiatives that support company growth across dealerships and service departments, and be able to present and demonstrate functionality of the tools.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Channel Development & Account Management

  • Develop and manage relationships with automotive dealership groups, service directors, parts managers, and technicians.
  • Expand market share for Milton, Steck, LTI, ZeeLine, Arrow Pneumatics and ProMAXX products within dealership service departments.
  • Maintain and grow key accounts through regular visits, product demonstrations, and business reviews.
  • Identify opportunities within national dealer groups, regional chains, and independent dealerships.

Sales Growth & Strategy

  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales revenue and growth targets.
  • Implement channel strategies to increase product penetration in dealership service departments.
  • Collaborate with distributor partners and mobile tool dealers to ensure product availability and promotion.
  • Analyze sales trends, competitive activity, and market opportunities to drive growth.

Product Training & Support

  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical training for dealership technicians, service and parts departments.
  • Provide field feedback on product performance, competitive positioning, and market demand.
  • Support product launches and promotions across the dealership channel.
  • Ensure strong representation of the company’s brands within dealership networks.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitive products and emerging technologies within dealership service departments.
  • Identify opportunities for new product introductions and market expansion.
  • Provide insights into marketing and product management teams to support future development.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account plans, and CRM updates.
  • Track key performance metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Develop territory strategies to maximize coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of sales experience in automotive tools, equipment, dealership sales, or related industry.
  • Experience selling to automotive dealerships, service departments, or technician-focused markets preferred.
  • Background working with automotive dealerships, or automotive sales channels is highly desirable.

Skills

  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
  • Ability to present technical products and conduct hands-on demonstrations.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and manage large accounts.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Office products, including Power BI

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
