About This Position
Purpose
The Customer Service Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for Chemline’s customers, delivering a high-quality, customer-first experience through professional communication, problem-solving, and relationship building. This role is responsible for managing customer inquiries, processing orders, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient service. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations while supporting the company’s growth and operational success.
Scope and Responsibilities
· Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to all customer inquiries regarding quotes, orders, status requests, complaints, and product returns.
· Build rapport with customers by engaging with them in an inviting, friendly, and professional manner, to deliver exceptional experiences that nurture lasting relationships.
· Maintain daily notes, and log and document issues and resolutions in the ERP and CRM for sales and management teams to review.
· Manager customer shipments and work with internal and external 3PL’s and carriers to ensure on time delivery.
· Interact daily with internal partners on behalf of the customer to facilitate quick responses and exceptional service.
· Embrace and drive change and actively look for ways to help people.
· Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
Requirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Ability to proactively analyze problems, identify root causes, find solutions, anticipate issues before they happen and work towards resolving issues in a timely manner.
· Ability to successfully multitask, prioritize, respond promptly to requests, and manage workload efficiently.
· Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically with customers and co-workers, both verbally and in writing.
· Ability to display empathy and patience, reassuring customers, making customers feel valued and helping to guide them to success.
· Highly organized individual who is able to plan ahead to meet customer needs.
· Chemline Product/Service Knowledge or proven ability to comprehend complex information and quickly apply to daily activity.
· Able to successfully work individually and within a team.
· Experience in a corporate environment.
· Minimum of 5 years customer service experience.
· Fluent in Microsoft Office.
