Description:

Chelsea Lighting is seeking to hire a Technical Support Specialist to join their growing team. The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for the support of hardware, line of business applications, and business continuity, as well as assisting the business in all areas of information management. This includes supporting actionable reporting by transforming data into readable, goal-driven reports for continued innovation and growth.

Qualifications:

  • College Graduate – four-year preferred in Computer Science or related major.
  • Previous working experience as a technical support specialist or IT technician.
  • Must be service-oriented with a focus on productivity and problem-solving.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and utilize these skills in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Technical knowledge regarding domain network administration via cloud computing services (i.e. Azure)
  • Proficiency with MS365 and MS Admin Center
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet a plus
  • Be receptive to developmental opportunities in customer contact and vendor/manufacturer relationships to effectively grow and crossover to other areas of the business.
  • Construction or lighting industry experience is a plus.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for user-reported hardware and software issues.
  • Respond to tickets in a timely manner and document the interactions and solutions for future reference.
  • Escalate issues up the proper channel when needed and include all troubleshooting steps taken to date to streamline the handoff between tiers.
  • Perform onboarding for new users, including AD account creation, MS365 account setup, LoB application credentialing, and hardware configuration.
  • Assist new users with account/domain access and provide basic training on common and LoB applications.
  • Perform off-boarding for terminated users and set up appropriate contingencies based on SOPs.
  • Maintain asset tracking log of all company hardware and software.
  • Regular involvement with LoB application maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and our third-party Managed IT Service Provider.
  • Assist our MSP with scheduling, coordination, and implementation of network and security updates.
  • Stay up to date with IT trends and give recommendations for internal improvement based on market changes.
  • Perform additional duties and projects assigned by the Manager
