About the Role:

The Quality Control Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet established standards of quality, safety, and reliability before reaching customers. This position involves conducting detailed inspections and tests on materials, components, and finished products to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The inspector collaborates closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions, thereby minimizing waste and enhancing overall product quality. By maintaining accurate records and reports, the inspector supports continuous improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this role helps uphold the company’s reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction through rigorous quality assurance practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in quality control, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Knowledge of industry-specific standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in using digital inspection tools and software.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to assess product specifications and identify defects or inconsistencies.
  • Document inspection results accurately and prepare detailed reports for quality assurance and production teams.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to investigate quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements during all inspection activities.
  • Participate in internal audits and assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration is up to date to guarantee measurement accuracy.
