Job Description
Job Summary: Responsible for creating and maintaining test data, performing quality inspections and tests, validating processes, and providing status and results of quality test to ensure a consistent and optimal level of quality
Travel Required: Less than 10%
Direct Reports: Yes
Essential Functions:
· Develop and update quality work instructions
· Develop new visual inspection acceptance criteria
· Inspect and record data from parts and process specifications
· Inspect Engineer samples and pilot samples from Shanghai plant
· Track and report scrap and rework data
· Confirm process fixtures and tools are present and in working condition
· Conduct process and product audits as required.
· Perform dimensional inspections.
· Perform sorts of suspect material as requested
· Train Quality inspectors as required.
· Track efficiency of Quality Inspectors.
· Attend all required training as required
· Interact with others to resolve quality issues
· Notify management and/or affected teams or departments in a timely manner of quality issues as required
· Read and interpret mechanical drawings
· Verify all required processes and part specification data sheets are up to date
· ISO 9001 Management system compliance
· Document Control process
· Direct quality members as needed
· Work with outsource inspection contractors.
· Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:Qualifications:
· Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Quality related field
· 2 years post graduate education or certificates or equivalent.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· General computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to lead small teams
· Outstanding organizational skills
· A positive team attitude
Working Conditions: This position may be required to stand for long periods of time and work throughout a manufacturing plant as well as office.
