This role focuses on managing and resolving auto insurance claims from first notice of loss through settlement in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment. You will investigate accidents, evaluate coverage, determine liability, and assess damages with accuracy and efficiency. The position involves direct communication with claimants, insureds, and third parties to ensure clear and empathetic service throughout the claims process. You will handle a mix of minor to moderately complex claims, applying structured guidelines while exercising sound judgment. Strong documentation, negotiation, and decision-making skills are essential to ensure fair and timely resolutions. This is a remote position that requires autonomy, organization, and comfort working with digital claims systems. You will contribute to delivering a seamless claims experience while upholding regulatory and quality standards.
- Investigate auto insurance claims, ranging from minor to moderately complex, and gather all necessary facts, statements, and evidence.
- Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages to determine appropriate claim outcomes.
- Conduct recorded statements with claimants, insured individuals, and witnesses as needed.
- Negotiate settlements in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and well-documented claim files throughout the lifecycle of each case.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies at every stage of the claims process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient workflows and customer-focused claim handling.
- 2+ years of experience in insurance claims handling is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Solid analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable using technology and learning claims management systems and tools.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and organization.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses within required timeframes.
- Competitive annual base salary ranging from $50,000 to $60,000, based on experience and qualifications.
