Stocking and Warehouse Associate in Tampa, Florida at DOW Technologies

This position’s primary focus is unloading and loading merchandise shipments from trucks to stock and organize the products in the correct places within the warehouse. Their secondary focus would be that of a Warehouse Associate. They will be responsible for all the inventory, order picking, order packing, order checking, shipping/receiving, stocking and maintenance/organization functions in the warehouse as directed by Management.

Job Duties:

• Perform general stocking duties on a daily basis including storing and stocking products in/on bins, pallets, shelves, racks.
• Responsible for accurate weekly physical inventory counts.
• Maintain precise inventory of all product lines on a daily basis.
• Accurate order pulling and checking, and thorough stocking and organization.
• Load and unload shipments from all delivery vehicles and common carriers.
• Process freight and ground shipments accurately.
• Verify accuracy of warehouse deliveries.
• Sort, stack, and rotate inventory weekly (FIFO).
• Accurately pull and fill customer orders.
• Accurately check pulled orders.
• Create and update documents using Microsoft Office products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility.

Required Qualifications:

• Punctual attendance and excellent time management skills are required.
• Must be detail oriented and will need to be able to work in a Team/Group environment, as well as independently without constant supervision.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Demonstrate understanding of safety issues.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Ability to be detailed, accurate, and thorough while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to follow instructions and directions thoroughly.
• Must abide by all company and department policies and procedures.
• Must be willing to work any required overtime if needed.
• Must be flexible to work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or later as needed.
