About Green Beagle Lodge
Green Beagle Lodge is looking for a Weekend Dog Bather to join our Grooming team! This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working hands-on with dogs and takes pride in helping them go home looking and feeling their best.
As a Dog Bather, you'll play an important role in preparing dogs for pickup after their boarding stay or daycare visit. Your attention to detail and gentle handling help ensure every guest leaves clean, comfortable, and happy.

All team members complete a structured orientation and industry-specific training program, followed by hands-on experience designed to build confidence in dog handling, bathing techniques, and safe animal care.

Schedule
This is a part-time weekend position. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, with additional weekday opportunities available as business needs require
Responsibilities
- Bathe dogs of all breeds, coat types, sizes, and temperaments.
- Thoroughly dry dogs using towels, dryers, and safe handling techniques.
- Brush coats to remove loose hair and minor tangles.
- Clean ears and perform other basic bathing services as assigned.
- Safely handle dogs throughout the bathing process.
- Monitor dogs for any health or skin concerns and communicate observations to leadership.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized bathing area.
- Properly clean and maintain bathing equipment and tools.
- Work closely with the Grooming, Pet Care, and Client Care teams to ensure dogs are ready for pickup on time.
- Follow all company safety procedures and handling protocols.
Please note: This position focuses on bathing and basic coat care. Grooming experience is not required, and this role does not include haircuts or breed-specific grooming.
Ideal candidates bring a genuine passion for animals, patience, and a strong work ethic. This is a physically active role requiring standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and working in a wet environment while handling dogs weighing anywhere from 5 to 150 pounds.
Qualifications
- Genuine love for dogs and animal welfare.
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Patient, gentle, and attentive while working with animals.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous bathing, grooming, or animal care experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
