What You Can Expect in This Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will provide technical leadership in the architecture, design, and development of advanced mechanical systems for beverage filling and packaging equipment. You will drive innovation from concept through production launch, mentor engineers, and partner cross-functionally to deliver highly reliable, manufacturable, and scalable equipment solutions.

You will play a key role in defining engineering standards, evaluating emerging technologies, and influencing product roadmap decisions while ensuring designs meet performance, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability targets.

Requirements:
  • Design, prototype, and develop filling machines and systems from concept to production.
  • Lead projects and provide engineering innovations to enhance product development.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including CAD models, part and assembly drawings, schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Provide technical guidance on product specifications, requirements, and project timelines.
  • Lead and participate in design and technical reviews with mechanical and controls engineers.
  • Manage project timelines effectively, identifying and mitigating obstacles.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality control.
  • Work with service teams to improve design robustness and ease of maintenance

Skills & Experience

  • Technical leader who can thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience in mechanical design for production lines or automated machinery (liquid filling systems strongly preferred).
  • Expert-level 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks required).
  • Strong expertise in fluid systems, sanitary design, and automation integration.
  • Experience leading design, architecture, and system-level engineering decisions.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, Field, Controls, and Electrical Engineering teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Excellent technical communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading engineering team members preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • 5–8+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • 5+ years in machine design and product development
  • Experience in food & beverage or sanitary processing equipment is strongly preferred
