SUMMARY OF THE ROLE


The Technical Assistant is responsible for providing general administrative support to NextDecade’s production operations and marine teams in Brownsville, TX consisting of more than 100 employees that include, production operations, marine operations, and plant optimization during commissioing, facility startup and continueing for normal operations. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-pased environment with strong communication and organization skills with attention to detail. The position is in Brownville, Texas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Attend recurring meetings to stay informed of current acitivites and to document the minutes and action items.
  • Act as a primary contact point for operations visitors and callers.
  • Act as the primary contact point for administrative issues for the production and marine teams.
  • Organize facilities for conferences, meetings, training, or employee events.
  • Create and organize presentations or materials needed for meetings.
  • Assist in coordinating meeting logistics and catering services including scheduling and maintaining conference rooms for various meetings.
  • Arrange meetiings with external parties as requested by various work groups.
  • Process project correspondence, conference notes & meeting minutes and action items.
  • Coordinate mail, including sorting and forwarding incoming mail, and scheduling pick-up and delivery of mail services.
  • Compile and submit expense reports and assist with travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding with HR and line managers.
  • Track and coordinate site visitors to ensure protocols are followed and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Develop and maintain phone/email lists, calendars and schedules.
  • Provide admin and technical support for the operations schedule in Workday.
  • Build and maintain multiple Power BI dahsboards.
  • Review technical documents to correct grammer and formatting.
  • Other duties assigned by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A High School degree or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
  • This role is located within an active construction site that will transition to an operating LNG facility . Applicant must be willing and capable of working in outside conditions such as adverse weather conditions and on uneven walking surfaces. Applicant must also be able to do light to moderate lifting.
  • Highly proficient in Powerpoint, Word and Excel applications.
  • Required proficiency with Power BI.
  • Display effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work efffectively with a diverse team and frequently changing priorities.
  • Effective time management skills, including punctuality, flexibility, and reliability.
  • Strong organizational skills, including planning, scheduling, and follow-up capabilities.
  • Strong composition and grammar skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Experience interfacing with executive management.
  • Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization to ensure clarity in expectations requirements, and deliverables. Excellent analytical skills.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Concur and Workday
  • Additional training specifically in computer/software and/or prior demonstratable work experience.
Job Site Work Environment
Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
Operates in a complex construction environment.
Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.
Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.

Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required.
Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, including being physically capable of traveling to a designed muster point during emergency situations.
Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift.
The incumbent is required to have fully mechanical motion and usage of all extremities.
Physically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and lift items weighing up to 20 lbs. without assistance.
Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to clearly communicate with others via radio, phone, and verbal methods.
May be required to enter confined spaces.
May be required to work at elevated heights and access elevated structures without assistance.
