External Talent Posting | CBE Processing
Join Fuji Vegetable OilAt Fuji Vegetable Oil, our people help keep a 24/7 food-grade manufacturing operation safe, reliable, and moving forward. We are looking for a hands-on Process Operator who brings mechanical curiosity, strong learning ability, and disciplined problem-solving to our CBE Processing team.
The OpportunityThis is a field-based technical operations role - not a control-room-only position. You will learn how specialty vegetable-oil products move through interconnected process equipment, perform field rounds, operate and monitor pumps/valves/filter systems, collect process information, support product quality, and respond to changing operating conditions. You do not need to arrive knowing Fuji’s process; you do need to be comfortable learning a multi-step operation, working hands-on, receiving coaching, and demonstrating competency before working independently on qualified tasks.
What You'll Do- Perform field rounds and monitor process flow, equipment condition, temperatures, pressures, levels, alarms, and other operating indicators; compare field conditions with HMI/process information.
- Operate and monitor pumps, valves, tanks, piping, heat exchangers, filter presses, conveyors, and related CBE process equipment after required training and qualification.
- Trace material flow through interconnected process systems and verify equipment/lineup before transfers, routing changes, startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Recognize abnormal operating conditions; gather relevant information, complete approved operator-level checks, and communicate/escalate conditions that are outside training, procedure, or role authority.
- Support troubleshooting of flow, pressure, temperature, vacuum, filtration, blockage, and equipment-performance conditions using a disciplined check-verify-communicate approach.
- Perform hands-on filter press and process work, including approved filter breakdown/rebuild, cleaning, sanitation, washdowns, spill response, and other routine equipment tasks.
- Collect samples and monitor product/process conditions; accurately record readings, checks, production information, and other required documentation.
- Complete effective shift handoffs that communicate current process status, changes, alarms/issues, maintenance or quality needs, open work, and required follow-up.
- Maintain GMP, food-safety, housekeeping, PPE, LOTO, confined-space, and other applicable safety/procedure expectations.
- Complete assigned training, practical demonstrations, and task-level qualifications before independently performing designated work.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with basic tools, measurements, gauges, and industrial equipment.
- Ability to learn process flow and use information such as temperature, pressure, level, flow, alarms, and equipment condition to recognize when something is changing.
- Strong safety/procedure discipline and judgment to stop, verify, and ask when a condition is outside your training.
- Reliable shift attendance, clear communication, and accurate documentation habits.
- Ability to work in an active industrial environment and meet essential physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Industrial, mechanical, process, utilities, maintenance-support, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with pumps, valves, tanks, piping, filters, conveyors, HMIs, or similar process equipment.
- Food-grade/GMP or continuous-process manufacturing exposure.
- Learn the process and progressively qualify on assigned equipment/tasks.
- Work safely, verify before acting, and communicate changing conditions early.
- Stay engaged in the field and connect equipment/process behavior to what you see on the HMI.
- Troubleshoot within your trained scope and involve the right resources when needed.
- Deliver accurate documentation, reliable shift handoffs, and strong teamwork.
