The General Manager is a lead member of the management team who will oversee all warehouse duties; assist with the hiring and training of warehouse team members; and manage the organizational processes to improve the quality, productivity, and efficiency of the warehouse and team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Total P&L Ownership (Strategic Results):
Lead: Assume full accountability for the site’s financial performance. Translate complex operational data into long-term profitability strategies, managing fixed costs and capital expenditures.
Support: Provide the "Executive Why" to the OM regarding budget constraints, helping them understand how labor spend directly impacts the site's viability.
- Barrier Removal (The Filter):
Lead: Act as the primary shield for the leadership team. Own the resolution of high-level obstacles—such as vendor disputes, major equipment procurement, or corporate-level technical hurdles—that prevent AMs and OMs from focusing on their core duties.
Support: Serve as the "Final Arbiter" for the OM when tactical barriers require a higher level of authority or financial approval to resolve.
- Strategic Vision (Planning & Alignment):
Lead: Look 6–12 months ahead to identify facility needs, market trends, and growth opportunities. Ensure the site is prepared for volume shifts before they hit the floor.
Support: Align with the COO and NALT on network-wide initiatives, ensuring the OM and AM have the context needed to implement changes smoothly.
- Culture & Talent Architecture (People Development):
Lead: Champion an inclusive, high-performance team culture. Own the "Talent Bench" by identifying high-potential leaders and ensuring the "One Team" Leadership Agreement is the standard for all management.
Support: Provide the final tier of mentorship for AMs and OMs, offering "Big Picture" career coaching and supporting the structured coaching paths designed by the OM.
- Operational Excellence (Safety & Organization):
Lead: Ensure the facility maintains a permanent "Audit-Ready" status. Own the 5S standards and facility maintenance to protect the company brand and physical assets.
Support: Back the AM’s immediate safety corrections on the floor, providing the resources (signage, floor tape, safety gear) required to maintain a world-class environment.
- Collaborative Leadership:
Lead: Adhere strictly to the "One Team" Leadership Agreement. Lead the site’s strategic direction while maintaining a visible, encouraging presence that reinforces the values of the organization.
Support: Actively support the tactical needs of the floor by ensuring the AM and OM are never "starved" for information or resources.
Requirements:Qualifications / Requirements:
- Extensive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or high-volume logistics.
- Proven track record of managing full P&L and driving financial performance.
- Strong ability to coach, mentor, and lead a multi-layered (Direct and Indirect) management team.
- Clear and confident communicator with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S) and SOP development.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and stoop for extended periods (10 to 12 hour shifts). - Frequent climbing of ladders and step stools required.
- Manual dexterity to operate setup tools and equipment.
- Must be physically able to work in varying environmental conditions (hot/cold).
