The Client Development Representative focuses on building and nurturing relationships with SaaS platform partners and end customers, engaging prospects through calls, emails, and consultations to drive adoption of Vertical Insure’s solutions.
Our Minneapolis office operates on a hybrid model, with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At this time, we’re only considering local candidates.

What You'll Do
Generate New Business Opportunities
- Identify, research, and engage prospective SaaS platform partners and end users through outbound outreach, inbound lead follow-up, networking, and strategic prospecting. Build meaningful conversations that create qualified sales opportunities.
Engage Prospects with Purpose
- Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients by understanding their business needs, educating them on Vertical Insure's embedded insurance solutions, and delivering a consultative buying experience that builds trust.
Partner with Sales Leadership
- Work closely with Account Executives and sales leadership to develop account strategies, qualify opportunities, and ensure seamless handoffs throughout the sales process.
Maintain a Healthy Sales Pipeline
- Consistently manage and update activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in HubSpot. Prioritize leads effectively while maintaining accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility.
Be the Voice of the Customer
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to help shape product enhancements, improve internal processes, and identify new opportunities for growth.
Contribute to a High-Performing Team
- Bring curiosity, energy, and a collaborative mindset. Share best practices, celebrate team wins, and continuously develop your sales skills while contributing to Vertical Insure's growing culture.
Who You Are
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer success, preferably in B2B SaaS, technology, fintech, or insurance.
- Strong prospecting and lead qualification skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build credibility quickly.
- Exceptional customer service mindset and passion for creating outstanding client experiences.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or similar tools.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where priorities evolve quickly.
Experience That Goes the Extra Mile
- Familiarity with vertical SaaS, embedded finance, or insurance-related products.
What We Offer
The estimated base salary range for this role is $50,000-$60,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and scope of responsibility. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for performance-based variable compensation tied to individual and team results.
