Knight Federal Solutions is seeking a Cloud Services Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions supporting mission systems. This role focuses on delivering reliable, secure cloud services, integrating modern capabilities, and ensuring systems are optimized for performance, scalability, and operational support.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage cloud services supporting scalable, secure, and high-performing environments
• Design and integrate scalable, secure cloud architectures
• Integrate modern capabilities, including automation and AI/ML services, into cloud environments as needed
• Optimize system performance, availability, and cost across cloud environments
• Automate service deployment, configuration, and operational processes
• Monitor systems and resolve issues across cloud environments

What you’ll do:

• Build stable, secure, and scalable cloud services supporting mission needs
• Deploy cloud environments optimized for performance, cost, and reliability
• Integrate capabilities (automation, AI/ML, or other services) aligned to operational use))
• Efficient, repeatable deployments and streamlined operations

What we’re looking for:?

• 2-3 years of experience implementing and managing cloud services or cloud-based systems, hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• 1 year of experience implementing or supporting cloud networking and security controls
• DoD 8140 compliance (e.g. Security+, CISSP, etc)
• Ability to work on-site at Eglin Air Force Base

Bonus points:

• AWS Cloud certifications with service specializations
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Experience with RHEL
• Experience integrating AI/ML services into cloud environments
• Experience with National Security systems and Air-Gapped Environments

Security Clearance:

• Active Top-Secret Clearance, preferred with SCI eligibility

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
