Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) provide personal care, health-related services, and assist with activities of daily living. PCTs function under the direction, instruction, and supervision of nursing staff.

PCTs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives, and continuing education.

Medical/Surgical PCTs provide care for primarily adult patients before and after surgical procedures; they also attend to those who are being treated to manage illness.

Minimum Education

Required Licenses/Certifications

• BLS
• Must be able to attend 3-day training class W-F 8-5 upon hire.
