Job Description

Description:

Make a Visible Difference in Patients’ Lives-Every Day

Active California PA-C Required.

We welcome candidates new to ophthalmology and offer a robust, step-by-step training program to support your growth.

We are a growing, physician-led ophthalmology practice committed to delivering exceptional eye care while building a workplace where clinicians can do their best work. We’re seeking a Physician Assistant who is energized by hands-on patient care, procedural work, and being part of a collaborative, high-performing clinical team.

If you’re looking for a role where your skills are fully utilized and your work directly improves patients’ quality of life, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

As a Physician Assistant in our practice, you’ll play a vital role in both direct patient care and in-office procedures, working closely with our ophthalmologists and clinical staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate and manage patients in clinic, including history, exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Perform ophthalmic procedures consistent with training and scope of practice
  • Assist physicians with in-office and surgical procedures as needed
  • Provide patient education, counseling, and follow-up care
  • Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and support staff to ensure a seamless patient experience
  • Contribute to a culture of quality, efficiency, and compassionate care

What Makes This Role Special

  • Procedural, hands-on work - this is not a purely administrative or routine follow-up role
  • True physician partnership - you’ll work side-by-side with experienced ophthalmologists
  • High-quality practice environment with strong systems, support staff, and a commitment to clinical excellence
  • Opportunity to grow your ophthalmology expertise over time
  • Stable, well-established organization with a patient-first mission

What We’re Looking For

  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with an active California state license
  • No prior ophthalmology experience required. We welcome candidates from all clinical backgrounds, including new graduates. Comprehensive, physician-led training will be provided to support your transition into ophthalmology and help you develop expertise in the specialty.
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and procedural aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered mindset
  • A collaborative, adaptable professional who thrives in a team environment

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Training and mentorship in ophthalmic care and procedures
  • Supportive leadership
  • A role where your work is meaningful, visible, and valued

Join Us

This is an opportunity to build a rewarding career in ophthalmology while making a tangible difference in patients’ vision and lives. If you’re motivated, clinically curious, and excited to grow in a specialty practice, we encourage you to apply.
