Customer Service Representative in Sacramento, California at Merchants Metals LLC

Our Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support throughout the order process. This role is responsible for handling inbound customer inquiries, processing orders, generating quotes, resolving issues, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery. The CSR builds strong customer relationships, identifies sales opportunities within existing accounts, and helps drive customer satisfaction and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online channels.
• Process orders, quotes, returns, and credits accurately and efficiently.
• Provide product information, pricing, availability, and order status updates.
• Resolve customer issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to meet customer needs.
• Maintain customer records and activity within company systems.
• Build relationships with customers and identify opportunities for account growth.
• Deliver a high level of customer service while managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of customer service, inside sales, or industrial distribution experience preferred.
• Strong communication, phone, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer management systems.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
