This is a senior technical presales role focused on shaping complex enterprise solutions within highly regulated environments, particularly for federal and defense-focused customers. You will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, translating customer requirements into scalable, compliant, and well-structured solution architectures. The role combines deep technical expertise with commercial awareness, as you will influence scoping, pricing inputs, and statement-of-work development for strategic opportunities. You will work across Microsoft-centric technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, security, and compliance platforms aligned with strict regulatory frameworks such as CMMC and NIST. The environment is fast-moving and highly collaborative, requiring strong cross-functional alignment with sales, engineering, and delivery teams. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex architectural challenges while directly influencing deal success and customer outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead technical scoping and discovery for complex enterprise and strategic sales opportunities, including risk assessment and solution fit analysis.
  • Develop and review proposals, statements of work, change orders, and estimates for high-value engagements.
  • Define solution architectures aligned with Microsoft-based reference frameworks, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and security workloads.
  • Provide technical input for pricing, licensing, infrastructure, and professional services estimates.
  • Act as a senior advisor during customer engagements, presentations, and technical workshops.
  • Translate customer requirements into structured, compliant, and delivery-ready solution designs.
  • Support and mentor other presales engineers, contributing to standardization of tools, templates, and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure alignment across the entire presales lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in presales engineering, solutions engineering, consulting, or similar technical customer-facing roles.
  • Proven experience leading complex enterprise sales cycles involving architecture, scoping, pricing inputs, and SOW development.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and security/compliance tooling.
  • Deep understanding of regulated environments such as federal and defense sectors, including CMMC, NIST, and CUI requirements.
  • Experience working in or with environments such as Azure Government or Microsoft 365 GCC High is highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to translate technical and business requirements into structured solution designs and delivery assumptions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical teams, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Experience documenting assumptions, risks, dependencies, and exclusions in formal proposals and solution artifacts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; relevant Microsoft or security certifications are a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonus structure.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Four weeks of paid vacation plus sick leave.
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave (four weeks).
  • Remote work flexibility with minimal travel requirements.
  • Tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development support.
  • Disability and life insurance fully employer-sponsored.
  • Wellness benefits including stipends and volunteer time off.
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact, mission-driven projects in regulated industries.
