Purpose of Position

The Delivery Manager will be a pivotal leader in driving the transformation of our Connected Work Vertical, supporting cloud, mobile and embedded software teams. This role will operationalize our agile and lean principles, modern software engineering practices, and the product operating model to deliver on our strategic goals: enhanced collaboration, improved product quality, and accelerated delivery.



Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Facilitate collaboration across embedded, cloud, mobile, and other teams by breaking down silos and managing inter-team dependencies.
  • Oversee the implementation of shared ecosystem processes for feature development.
  • Support and enforce standardized work item definitions and ensure consistent application.
  • Promote effective use of common planning and coordination artifacts.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide proactive visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress.
  • Deliver clear, concise updates and presentations to stakeholders, including executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and team members.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes clearly and proactively.

Delivery Risk & Performance Management

  • Track and report key delivery metrics to ensure transparency for all stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate delivery risks and impediments.
  • Align delivery timelines and outcomes with OKRs and strategic objectives.
  • Implement and maintain agile reporting practices.

Team Enablement

  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, continuous learning, and high performance.
  • Shield teams from unnecessary interruptions and ensure access to required resources.

Discovery & Strategic Alignment

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Discovery Engineers, and Designers to understand solutions emerging from Discovery.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of OKRs and support teams in defining measurable Key Results aligned with business objectives.

Agile Practices & Continuous Improvement

  • Operate within an Agile framework to drive collaboration and iterative improvement.
  • Contribute to a Project Management Community of Practice to establish and evolve best practices, aiming to improve time-to-market, product reliability, and performance.


Qualifications

Experience and Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills across the organization with proven ability to provide proactive visibility and effective communication of delivery targets/high integrity commitments, providing regular updates on project progress and status to stakeholders through clear and concise reporting methods.   • Ability to prepare and effectively communicate excellent oral/written presentations and delivery status to all stakeholders in the organization, including Executive Leadership, Business Directors, Engineering Directors, Engineering Managers, IT Directors, IT Managers, Manufacturing stakeholders, Marketing/Business stakeholders, and peers meant to inform and persuade.   • Highly developed leadership, emotional intelligence, project management, and interpersonal skills enabling collaboration with associates at all levels of MSA, and in all regions (Communications)
  • Ability to apply appropriate management expertise in Agile methodologies and Product Model disciplines to coordinate team activities, complete deliverables, and meet product deadlines and objectives. ()
  • Ability to routinely make decisions and risk tradeoffs. (Decision-making)
  • Excellent teambuilding and leadership skills with proven ability to utilize appropriate methods and interpersonal styles to develop, motivate, and guide management and the team to attain successful outcomes and business objectives. (Building Successful Team)

  • Ability to share authority and responsibility with product team members to move decision making and accountability downward through the organization to maximize efficiency and leadership focus of the Delivery Manager. (Share Authority)
  • Strong focus on customer fulfillment, with ability to support driving tasks to completion to ensure on-time delivery of MSA products while meeting or exceeding customer expectations. (Customer Focus)
  • Proven experience with agile methodologies and lean principles.
  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering, especially continuous delivery.
  • Expertise in Theory of Constraints
  • Familiarity with product operation model (Marty Cagan).
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex dependencies.

Education & Licensure Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years delivery management / agile project management / NPD project management / software engineering experience
  • Understanding of various Agile Methodologies
  • Understanding of Product Model
  • MS degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • PhD may be substituted for up to 4 years of equivalent experience.

Experience and Licensure Preferred

  • Experience with software ecosystem projects
  • Agile PM Certification

Travel:

  • Estimated 5-10%
