This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pre-sales Tech Specialist based in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of technology, solution design, and consultative selling, supporting enterprise customers in the billing and monetization space. You will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, helping prospects translate complex business needs into scalable, high-performing solutions. The position involves leading technical discovery sessions, delivering tailored product demonstrations, and shaping solution architecture across SaaS, hybrid, and on-premise environments. You will collaborate closely with sales, product, R&D, and delivery teams to design compelling proposals that address customer challenges and drive revenue growth. A strong focus is placed on technical validation, including proof-of-concept execution and competitive positioning. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role in a fast-moving enterprise software environment where clarity, technical depth, and storytelling directly influence business outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and executive-level presentations, translating complex billing and monetization capabilities into clear business value.
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations showcasing advanced functionalities such as usage-based billing, rating engines, invoicing, collections, and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor across the sales cycle, supporting qualification, solution design, negotiation, and closing activities.
  • Design end-to-end solution architectures aligned with customer requirements, including integration models, deployment approaches, and infrastructure options.
  • Collaborate with Product, R&D, and Professional Services to develop solution designs, architecture diagrams, Statements of Work, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Lead Proof-of-Concept (POC) activities to validate solution fit, performance, scalability, and integration with customer ecosystems.
  • Prepare and contribute to RFP/RFI responses and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and competitive differentiation.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and identify expansion opportunities through deep technical and business discovery.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, product management, or technical consulting, ideally within telecom, utilities, or enterprise billing domains.
  • Strong expertise in billing systems, usage-based rating models, invoicing processes, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Proven ability to design scalable solutions for complex technical and business environments.
  • Experience supporting RFP/RFI processes and producing high-quality technical documentation and proposals.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS, hybrid, and on-premise deployment models and architecture principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business and executive audiences.
  • Consultative mindset with strong influencing and stakeholder management abilities across cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and strategic sales processes.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and market standards.
  • Flexible work arrangements, including remote or hybrid options within Canada.
  • Opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-scale billing and monetization solutions.
  • Exposure to global telecom and utilities clients and high-impact transformation projects.
  • Strong collaboration with product, engineering, and sales leadership teams.
  • Professional development opportunities in advanced solution architecture and enterprise SaaS.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits depending on location and eligibility.
  • Dynamic, innovation-driven environment focused on technical excellence and customer success.
