This is a high-impact regional leadership role responsible for driving the successful execution of a major rare disease product launch across the Northeast geography. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning medical affairs, market access, patient services, and field operations to ensure seamless delivery of a first-in-class therapy to patients and healthcare providers. This position requires a strong blend of commercial strategy, operational excellence, and stakeholder leadership within a highly regulated biopharmaceutical environment. You will be accountable for translating national strategy into actionable regional plans that maximize patient access and business performance. Working closely with senior leadership, you will shape go-to-market execution, build deep relationships with key opinion leaders, and ensure alignment across multiple internal and external stakeholders. - Define and execute the regional go-to-market strategy for the launch and lifecycle management of a rare disease therapy.
- Translate national commercial strategy into localized execution plans aligned with regional market dynamics and business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional regional teams across medical affairs, patient services, market access, clinical specialists, and field operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and other strategic stakeholders.
- Drive customer engagement strategies to support optimal patient access, education, and treatment adoption.
- Oversee regional performance against key KPIs, including access, engagement, and business growth metrics.
- Develop and manage regional business plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies to maximize impact.
- Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and payer landscape insights to refine regional strategy.
- Ensure operational excellence across all regional activities, maintaining compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Partner with internal functions including compliance, legal, HR, and patient advocacy to ensure aligned execution.
- Lead regular regional business reviews with senior leadership and provide performance updates and insights.
- Mentor, coach, and develop high-performing teams to foster accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industries, with strong exposure to rare disease or specialty therapeutics.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional commercial or medical teams, including sales, market access, medical affairs, or patient services.
- Strong background in field leadership, regional strategy execution, or commercial operations within a complex healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated success in building and executing go-to-market strategies for specialty or rare disease products.
- Strong understanding of US healthcare systems, payer dynamics, and patient access pathways.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to translate insights into execution.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external audiences.
