This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer based in Brazil.

In this role, you will be part of a high-impact engineering team responsible for building and evolving a modern internal platform that powers critical product and engineering operations. You will focus on designing scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure that enables development teams to move faster and with greater reliability. The position involves deep work with distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and Kubernetes-based environments. You will play a key role in improving observability, automation, and operational excellence across core systems. Working closely with senior engineers and technical leadership, you will help shape platform strategy while also driving hands-on implementation. This is a highly technical and influential role where your work directly improves developer experience and system resilience at scale.

Accountabilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS supporting distributed systems.
Develop and operate platform services with a strong focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
Manage and optimize Kubernetes-based environments for container orchestration and efficient resource utilization.
Build and improve internal platform tooling focused on automation, observability, monitoring, and logging.
Define and contribute to platform architecture decisions, aligning infrastructure strategy with engineering and business goals.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and secure software delivery workflows.
Drive infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform or equivalent solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to identify platform needs and deliver scalable, reusable solutions.
Ensure platform security, compliance, and alignment with industry best practices.
Contribute to end-to-end ownership of platform systems from design through production delivery and ongoing optimization.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles focused on distributed systems.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture.
Deep experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environments (Docker, orchestration, scaling).
Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar tools).
Strong knowledge of distributed systems principles including scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
Strong automation mindset with the ability to improve developer experience and operational efficiency.
Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.
Excellent communication skills, including strong English proficiency for cross-functional collaboration.
Nice to have: FinTech or high-growth startup experience, AWS certifications, and exposure to security/compliance frameworks (SOC2).
