Job Description

What does your day to day with us look like

• Perform quantity take-offs for projects
• Prepare scope narratives, clarifications, scope of work documents, and qualifications and effectively communicate to internal and external teams
• Review drawings for constructability concerns and communicate with clients, engineers, and architects
• Review preliminary and contract drawings, shop drawings, specifications, safety programs, quality assurance programs, and required bid documents to fully understand construction criteria
• Contribute to the development of the project schedule
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with the team and company personnel
• Coordinate bid list and priorities with estimation team, to include estimators, bid coordinators, and bids and contracts manager.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with subcontractors, owners, and clients
• Prepare documentation for bid day to include estimates, back-up, tax rates, General conditions, owner/client required documents, insurance/bonding rates, material lead times, etc.
• Review and present final estimates to upper management prior to bid due date
• Participate in job hand off with project management team prior to construction start.
• Maintain and update bid process and internal documents based on client needs, efficiencies, etc.
• Occasionally assist with pre-bid walkthroughs of sites
• Any other related tasks

What do you need to ensure Excellence in your role?

• Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar preferred
• You have a minimum of 5 years' estimating experience in a general contracting environment; estimating experience on multi-residential projects is an asset.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
