Job Title: Hydrovac Operator

Location: Midland, Texas

Pay: Up to $36.00 per hour

Job Description

We're looking for a Hydrovac Operator to join our team. You'll operate hydro-vacuum trucks to provide non-destructive excavation services for industrial, municipal, and utility projects.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate high-pressure water and vacuum systems to excavate soil around underground infrastructure
• Set up and dismantle equipment including hoses, wands, and safety barriers at job sites
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain truck and equipment
• Follow all safety regulations including PPE requirements and utility locating protocols
• Maintain logs of hours, fuel usage, and project reports

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement
• Experience operating heavy equipment or hydro-excavation units (preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in various weather conditions
• Basic mechanical knowledge for on-site troubleshooting

Working Conditions

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Exposure to high noise levels (hearing protection provided)
• Variable shifts including early mornings, nights, and on-call emergency response
• Travel to job sites with occasional overnight stays

PPE Requirements

• Steel-toed boots
• Hard hat and safety glasses/face shield
• High-visibility clothing
• Hearing protection and heavy-duty gloves
