Dishwasher
The Dishwasher is an essential member of the kitchen team responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the restaurant. This position ensures that dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and available to support smooth restaurant operations while assisting with general kitchen cleanliness and support tasks.
Essential Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing equipment and approved cleaning procedures.
- Maintain a steady flow of clean items to support kitchen and dining room operations during service.
- Properly sort, stack, and store clean dishes and equipment in designated areas.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean and maintain dishwashing machines, sinks, floors, drains, mats, and work areas throughout each shift.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing storage areas as needed.
- Support kitchen staff with basic prep and cleaning tasks when assigned.
- Follow all health, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
- Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with all front-of-house and back-of-house team members.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move continuously throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
