Job Description
Join us as a Product Engineer to build a new product within Brevo called Brevo OS.
Brevo OS is a startup inside Brevo: a team of six, a product we started from an empty repository earlier this year, and the feel of a small company within the big one. The product works, the first customer deployments are beginning, and a great deal is still undecided — so the people who join us now will shape what it becomes.
It's an AI-native operating system for small businesses: a system of agents that helps a solopreneur, a hair salon or a building contractor run their whole business — clients, contracts and signature, invoicing, their website, their inbox. Modules get added the way an ERP grows, except the whole thing is built around agents from the ground up.
- Turn a very high level business need into something real : understand the function, define the users, the smallest useful version, the entities and their lifecycles, the permissions and constraints that matter, and what to build versus integrate
- Decide which of our platform primitives to extend rather than reinvent, then build it, ship it, watch it in production, and improve it
- Work across product management, frontend, backend, data modelling, infrastructure, and AI. Everyone arrived with a specialism and nobody is confined to theirs; product thinking and business analysis is part of everyone’s job
- Build almost entirely through coding agents: Claude Code is the workflow, not a pilot running alongside it, for implementation, codebase exploration, documentation, debugging, and operations
- Decompose problems into work an agent can actually execute, give it context without over-constraining it, and tell the difference between correct and merely plausible
- Verify with tests and instrumentation, not vibes, and keep a large generated codebase coherent
- Work day to day in TypeScript, Kubernetes, and agentic frameworks
- Around 2-5 years of professional engineering experience. We care more about your slope than your years.
- Real depth in something, and no attachment to staying there. Bring what you're genuinely strong at — the team compounds those — and expect to spend a good part of your time well outside it.
- Coding agents already central to how you work. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, something equivalent. Not "I've generated the Unit Tests" — real delegation of substantial work, and real review of what comes back. Scepticism about generated output is a feature of this job, not a problem.
- Evidence you've owned a problem, not just implemented a ticket — something you helped define, drove, shipped and then lived with in production. Product questions are your questions too.
- At your best when the brief is one sentence and the plan is still moving. We're learning what this product is, so priorities change often. The mission doesn't.
- English. We're an international team working across France and India, and English is our working language. French is not required.
- A place to grow, together: Join an international team in a bright, collaborative office located in a vibrant neighbourhood.
- Practical perks for everyday balance: RTT days off, 50% public transport reimbursement, Sustainable Mobility Package (whether you ride a classic bike or go electric, we support your choice to commute greener) and daily Swile meal vouchers (€12.50/day).
- Learning, every step of the way: Access to English classes and 155,000+ courses on Udemy, plus a strong internal culture of knowledge-sharing and support.
- Flexible for life: A remote-friendly setup, budget to support your home workspace, and relocation assistance for international talents.
- Wellbeing that works: Top-notch private healthcare (70% covered), 6-week second-parent leave, extra time off if your child is sick and needs you, and several prevention, health and wellbeing services on the Welii platform.
- A culture that cares: From inter-office trips to regular team events, there are plenty of ways to connect beyond your day-to-day. You'll also find active social, green, and LGBTQIA+ communities, plus Work Council benefits via Leeto, all here to support what matters to you, inside and outside of work.
