Job Description
American Management Association (AMA) is looking for a Conference Center Coordinator to coordinate facilities operational services which include guest services, technical services, technical support services, food & beverage service, freight / mail services, cleaning and maintenance services to provide a professional learning atmosphere for all guests
Job Responsibilities
- Support front-desk team coverage at the conference center
- Welcome guests (seminar participants, instructors, event hosts and guests, etc.) in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- Responsible for seminar attendance administration and stocking of meeting materials
- Set up and break down conference/training rooms, and refresh rooms as needed, which may require moving furniture (tables, chairs, etc.), equipment and supplies
- Support Center team with distribution and collection of supplies and meeting/training materials (flipcharts, markers, paper and pens, etc.)
- Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting and assistance with technology and AV support needs
- Maintain clean, organized and well-stocked inventory for client beverage stations
- Set up, replenish, maintain, and breakdown catering buffets
- Other related tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required; additional education preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Experience in supporting AV and IT equipment and computer software systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required and Apple iWorks suite preferred
- Flexible, long, and weekend hours are required, on occasion
- Proficient in multitasking
- Portray a polished, professional image according to AMA’s dress code standards
