Population Science, Health Policy, and Labor Studies Librarian - For Internal Applicants Only
Location: Princeton, NJ

Salary Range or Pay Grade: $110,000 - $130,000
Description

Princeton University Library is seeking candidates for the Population Science, Health Policy, and Labor Studies Librarian. This position:

  • Has liaison, research assistance, and collections responsibilities to departments and centers involving health policy, labor economics, and population research.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with library staff across and within units to support strategic initiatives and operational needs.
  • Provides general reference, instruction, research consultation, and library orientation services as needed in service to the Princeton University community, and contributes to national organizations, library, campus committees, and other professional organizations. Professional development to enhance the subject and methodological expertise of this position is critical in order to perform the liaison, consultation, and collection responsibilities effectively.
  • Responsible for the development and management of the demography and public health collections, including digitization initiatives.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the Stokes Library website.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience providing information services in a research library environment.
  • Experience with reference, instruction and outreach in at least one of the following areas: labor economics, demography, health policy, or related fields.
  • Master of Library Science (MLS) or equivalent educational background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing physical displays or digital exhibits.
  • Experience with collection development and digitization initiatives, including managing a collections budget and developing unique digital collections.

The work location for this position is in-person on campus at Princeton University.

The successful candidate will be appointed to an appropriate Librarian rank depending upon qualifications and experience.
